Sometime 4 years ago, in a hall full of strange faces, my good friend ‘Jade’ told me, "Soo, I think you and that person are quite similiar". I followed the direction of her finger and saw Crystal (fair and clear, but no, Crystal wasn’t as pretty as the name suggest. Let’s call her Black Pearl then).

Well, for Jade to mentioned we got similiarity, it surely triggers my curiousity towards Cryst. So, when I had the opportunity to go closer, I tried to make eye contact with Cryst and prepared my smile. But tat cocky girl just keep on monopolizing the conversation with her new friend, oblivious to anything else around.

‘Oh, wat the heck’ sayeth my selamba heart. Shabby, short hair, tall and fair but yea… shrugs. I lost the curious spark immediately.

‘Why are we similiar, Jade?’ I asked.

‘Confident and cocky’ Jade replied. I took one more look at Crys and shrugged. Man, tat is gonna be one weird person. And tat was about 4 years ago.

LOLZ. Different, but so similiar in many ways.

When I try to put things into words, it’ll just lost its meaning.

Simply to say, Crys became one of my treasured friend. Well, I pray tat our friendship can last beyond.

It’s amazing how the radiofrequency aligned so well. We passed newspapers, play games that nobody at age 24 might play, talked about issues that no one is interested, go Sentosa just for a cup of Slurpee, asked her to team up with me for Treasure Hunt and got an immediate ok, helped me with my dentures constructions, etc etc. It’s all beyond listing!

And there is an unspoken sense of respect and support towards her. Of course, all these never crossed my mind the first time I saw you.

I feel like… you are Kira, I am L.

Nono, you are L and I am Kira (coz I am more evil plotter).

But if the purpose behind it is sincerely good, God sees. And it’s all that matters. Lest we know, having nothing done can also touch another person’s heart.
